Meet our 2013 Jingle Bell Run Honorees

Lyndsey Scheidell – Janesville Jingle Bell Run/Walk Honoree
“I run for those who can't.” Lyndsey grew up thinking, everyone gets arthritis. Her half-sister, high school friend, father, step-father and mother-in-law all live with arthritis, so for Lyndsey this disease really is a family affair.

Lyndsey was down-hill skiing in Denver when she fell and tore the ACL in her right knee. The doctors told Lyndsey that, due to the injury, she would have a higher chance of getting arthritis in that knee. After surgery and through her recovery, Lyndsey’s knee never quite got back to normal, and this went on for two years. Finally, her doctor suggested they take a look around inside her knee and that is when her doctor discovered the beginning signs of arthritis. Lyndsey understands the overall benefits of an active lifestyle and adds to it by working as a fitness instructor at the Janesville Athletic Club.
